There are many reasons why investing in mental wellbeing is important. Something that is highlighted in the Headspace Health’s annual workforce attitudes toward mental health report, is that it leads to absenteeism, burnout or even depression. In fact, in their 2022 report, as much as 70% of employees reported to have missed work due to mental health issues.
Jason Mole, Managing Director for CarComm believes that investing in MHFA training promotes a positive cultural and behavioral change in relation to mental health. “Here at CarComm we recognise that everyone experiences daily struggles differently, and we feel it’s important that the team feels safe and secure showing vulnerability.”
“By investing in MHFA training we are equipping our employees with the tools needed to support their own mental health and that of their colleagues.”
CarComm Coachworks has now trained Mental Health First Aiders in various areas of the business, providing approachable people for colleagues to seek support from and an inclusive work environment where employee wellbeing is a top priority.
