CarComm Coachworks sends young employees to AkzoNobel factory for hands-on training

Abdul Rashid and William Potter at AkzoNobel factory

CarComm Coachworks Ltd – commercial vehicle repair and refurbishment specialist based in Ashford near Heathrow, sent two of their youngest employees recently for some rare hands-on training at the AkzoNobel factory in Didcot.

Abdul Rashid and William Potter had the privilege of overseeing the complete process of preparing and refinishing using the Sikkens product range, as they enjoyed having their first go at spray painting using the global paint manufacturer’s entire range.

During the two-day training, they both received some practical training in the basics of paint preparation, masking, mixing and spray paint operation. AkzoNobel is one of the major paint brands that CarComm uses, so when the opportunity arose to send its staff, it was a unanimous YES.

The hands-on training days would not have been made possible had it not been for the support of Aaron Osborne, technical representative and Paul Riley, their national sales manager at Akzo Nobel Coating Ltd (CV).

“This opportunity has given our guys a renewed sense of enthusiasm and they were both keen to apply their newly learned skills into their jobs.” Commented Jason Mole, Managing Director of CarComm Coachworks Ltd

This rare on-site training occasion is part of CarComm Coachworks’ commitment to providing its staff with opportunities for growth and development. The company recognizes that investing in its employees is essential to its success and to providing top-quality services to its customers.
