Commercial vehicle repair specialists in Ashford, CarComm Coachworks Ltd, are delighted to announce the expansion to their workshop space, increasing the internal workshop space by a third.
Over recent years, the company has enjoyed strong growth, adding several large fleet contracts, numerous smaller fleets, and individual owner drivers to their growing client list. This has resulted in them outgrowing the two units they had on Challenge Road in Ashford. Established in 1988, this family-owned business now employs over 60 people.
The company previously rented a few smaller units on the same road, but these were not joined up and made day to day communications and practice challenging. So, when the unit next door came available, the company was quick to act.
After a few hard months of bringing the workshop up to the CarComm standard with all the required electricity, compressed air, and lighting facilities they were finally ready to knock through into the new space and join the workshop spaces together.
The expanded facilities now offer 55,000 sq ft of workshop, which has opened up space for a brand new Stanner Quick jig for vans, alongside the existing HGV Josam Cab and Chassis Alignment Jig to be installed, allowing much needed extra space for all aspects of the commercial vehicle repair process. The expansion has given a much larger area to store new parts and keep a stock of the fast-moving parts. And finally, a large additional secure storage compound for safe vehicle storage, which now totals over 25000 sq ft, was gained.
CarComm Coachworks Ltd director, Jason Mole, is excited about the expansion commenting:
“This is a big move for the company and shows our commitment to our clients. Our ethos centres on good quality workmanship and first-class service to help our clients get their commercial vehicles back on the road, where they belong. The new workshop has given us more space to do the work we are so proud to do, and we look forward to being able to repair more vehicles, in a much more efficient manner.”
